Neill Reagan is a certified teacher of Irish Dancing, as well as an adjudicator, making students eligible to compete at Irish Dance competitions.  Neill is the son of Irish born Irene O'Conner and Irish-American, Jerry Reagan. He began dancing at the age of five when his parents wanted their five children to carry on their Irish heritage. After dancing for only one year, Neill won the title of Eastern Regional Champion and accomplished that same title for the next fifteen consecutive years. Neill's dancers consistently bring home awards (medals and trophies) from competitions throughout the country and soon throughout the world.

Inishfree's classes are designed to teach the traditional and Irish step dancing while maintaining the rich cultural heritage.  Students will learn to identify different Irish dancing steps in solo and figure/ceili dances as well as the correct Irish music to accompany each dance.

Inishfree students can train for competition or simply dance for recreation.

Celtic Menagerie

celtic-menagerie-airThe Celtic Menagerie (CM), based in Corpus Christi, is Texas' best known and most exciting Scottish dance troupe.  They have been entertaining audiences at festivals, highland games and private functions across the state for more than twelve years.

CM's performances feature a unique combination of traditional Scottish Country and Ceilidh dances.  Many of the dances performed were developed in the early 1700s however other dances created by our members feature original choreography.   CM's creative flair and showmanship along with compelling Celtic musical selections keeps them in demand to "swing their kilts" across the state as they entertain and educate audiences of all ages.

Highlights of CM's current performance year include: the "Austin Celtic Festival", the "San Antonio Highland Games",  "Houston Ifest", "National Tartan Day" at Texas A & M University, "Festival of the Arts", "Bayfest-Corpus Christi", "South Texas Celtic Music Festival", the "Ingleside Ren Faire", and the "Sam Houston Folk Life Festival" in Huntsville.

Scottish Country Dance is a centuries-old social dance form that's very much alive and kicking today. It combines culture, music, heritage, a physical workout, and a friendly social setting all in one. The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society boasts 170 branches and 366 affiliated groups scattered on nearly every continent throughout the world.  Dances draw from a vast repertoire of figures and formations danced in sets of three or four couples.  The music ranges from fast-tempo jigs and reels to gentle-paced strathspeys-- a style unique to Scotland. Dancers of all ages and abilities can participate.

This Spring, the Bluebonnet Scottish Country Dancers will participate in Burns Night with the Scots of the Texas Hill Country at the Inn of the Hills Resort and Conference Center in Kerrville, Texas. They will be part of Medieval Days at Air Force Village, Lackland AFB. The Bluebonnets will be performing at a Multicultural Festival at the Barshop Jewish Community Center in San Antonio, and of course at Texas Folk Life Festival at the Institute of Texan Cultures in June. They will perform at the 10th Annual San Antonio Highland Games, at the Helotes Fairgrounds. The Bluebonnet Scottish Country Dancers will welcome Scottish Dancers from all over Texas and the Southwest to San Antonio for the 12th Annual Bluebonnet Ball featuring live music by "Clandestine".
