Scottish born musician, Hugh Morrison, calls Texas home. Groomed in the celtic/folk traditions of his native Highlands of Scotland, Morrison writes songs that tell tales from his homeland as well as Texas and Louisiana, where he has resided most recently.
His main gig is lead singer with Houston based Celtic Rock band, ‘Murder the Stout’, who tour and perform at many festivals across the USA.
Morrison also has toured Europe as guest musician for Boston punk rockers, ‘Street Dogs’ and Kansas City folk band, ‘Tullamore’. Morrison has recently returned from a successful solo tour of Ireland, Germany, France & Scotland in May 2022 and has plans to tour Europe again in the fall of 2024.
